Back to the Butchery Animals Competition in Arras
A few figures
Jury members, livestock professionals, classify the animals before the sale according to butcher quality criteria.
Out of 490 cattle presented:
- 449 were judged,
- 301 have been "labelled"
Saturday from 4 to 6:30 am: arrival of the animals, control of the accompanying documents, preparation of the animals and attachment. Doors close at 6:30.
From 7am to 10 am: Verification of conformation and cleanliness by the President of the jury
- Checking the different categories
- Classification of animals by category
- Nomination of male and female championship prizes
- Award Ceremony
10:15 am: Opening of transactions
2:00 p.m.: Open to the public
17:00: Closing of the exhibition
