Being in phase with the Company’s expectations: an imperative included in the CCPA GROUP’s R&D

For a number of years, the CCPA GROUP has factored the expectations of the company into its Research and Development orientations: reduction of hormone and antibiotic use, natural animal feed, feed safety in the livestock sector, traceability and transparency, improvement of the quality of animal products....

Striving for the most natural livestock feed possible by cutting back on the use of medicinal products

This expectation has given rise to the development of a new area of competence in the CCPA GROUP, phytoexpertise”, which consists in identifying interesting properties in plant extracts and essential oils and in learning how to make the most of them in feed solutions.

The very high expectation of the reduced use of hormones and antibiotics has also boosted the work of the CCPA GROUP on the interactions between Animal Nutrition and Health. This work has helped to bring to light tricky phases in livestock farming and develop solutions to detect and prevent the so-called natural phases of oxidant and/or inflammatory stress, which lead to problems in livestock farming. This work, which has been reported in scientific publications, has changed animal nutrition. It is exploited through new nutritional recommendations, new solutions and different diagnostics.

However, there still remains a great deal to discover on the nutrition-health and environment-health, genetics-health links... all those important interactions, in fact, between the animal and its environment.
This is why the CCPA GROUP remains deeply committed to major research projects on these issues with, among others, the European ProHealth research project and the Feedscreen laboratory project.

Enhancing the quality of animal products and traceability in the livestock sectors

Inspecting the raw materials used in products, inspecting finished products and guaranteeing their traceability, are an integral part of the quality processes at DELTAVIT. These stages meet a high expectation of feed safety in the livestock sectors.
Improving the quality of animal products is also one of the objectives sought, the organoleptic and nutritional quality of products, meat quality, the fatty acid profile of the meat, the milk or the eggs, in the interests of human health.
